I really like the feel and the rendering but I can't help but ask a few questions.

Is the beast directly in front of her sleeping? Previously killed?

As for the one that is getting shot is it really small? or far away? Because the chick doesn't seem to be aiming at it.

Finally assuming her rifle is a stereotypical bullet fed variety, it wouldn't hurt to see some brass being ejected. It is possible she merely fired the first shot, or the gun has a shell collection system like some modern rifles but it feels wrong.

Thanks,
the big beast is dieing.
Yes I could ad some brass being ejected.

To me, it seems she already shot the 2nd creature. And is now firing at a new fresh target. In which case, i'd add some tracer effects.

But it definitely has some good atmosphere. GJ

The female's legs look a tad off. There's not enough indication of calf muscles and the lower legs seem on the small side generally.

is this primarily a matte painting? It seems to me the trees and some of the ground seem to be from photos, or maybe it was the way you rendered it. Anyway, it looks good except for that. Maybe go back and see how you can make it feel more native to the girl and the creature? Also the woman's cloth needs some more form, it looks very flat, almost like a hard surface. It doesn't read as cloth right now.Hope that helps some.

It still feels a bit unfinished. Also, why did you choose this composition and point of view? I cant help but think that an over the shoulder, upshot, downshot, dutched angle, or SOMETHING could be done to better convey the excitement. As it is we are seeing it from the side at eye level. Its also a bit anticlimactic in that the big beast is no longer a threat... and it looks rather peaceful just laying there.

yes there is a lot of things that could be done better, maybe I fix those or start a new image, thanks for all your comments
