I'm sorry but this website is not damned.
What about you?
Why don't you win that damned contest?
PS: I'm advertising for this website because I created it.
What about your damned hompage?

edit* just show some respect. You post as if you were a spambot, if you didn't expect people to point it out or ignore you then you are wrong . WIN $400 DRAW A PICTURZ H3RE what.
I saw your other post and thats when I decided to go back and edit this one. Anyway there was no need for a second thread. And if you felt you had to announce the contest a second time, then maybe you should've posted some more information about who you are and what you're doing. Don't expect everyone to look through your posts when you have 3 and your current post look like spam.
So yes. Show some respect and maybe you will get people interested in your site. It had another name before didn't it ? I recognize it and the tools.
Good luck with your contest.. ! Who knows who will be participating now that you've enlighten CA.org about it.

This. I wasn't attacking your site, but the way you advertised it. I seriously thought it was a spam bot. But even still, it's quite bugging when your only posts are advertising your site, as it's difficult to tell what your true intentions are for signing up.
My post was lovable compared to how I've seen Ilaekae reply to this stuff. :P

didn't want to be respectless.
first of all, I HAVE BEEN OFFENDED.
you are right referring to the form of my post, for some it may look like spam ads. but anyway I`m better in developing flash apps then advertising, specially my own stuff.
I started this second post, because i really think to draw and win 400 bugs is a cool thing!
and I thought that it may be an eye catcher for the artists in here, in order they have a chance to win some cash.
dudes, it was hard work to develope Queeky, and i think it turned out pretty well. so if anybody has got the right to advertise for it, it is me!!
@Burl: sorry didnt want to offend you, but at first i felt offended by you. it was just my reaction on your post.
@dile_: no, the name has not changed. I work on Queeky since 2006, but during the last 4 weeks i did lots of improvements.
I agree, RESPECT TO ALL ARTISTS, but NOT to the offenders!

hehe, I'm a specialist referring to bugs.
but in this case they have no legs but numbers and letters.
and I don't speak of computer bugs :)
no man you can win cash, I currently (yesterday) started my first (not fist) competitions on Queeky.
I'm still fighting with some bugs about the SQL querys in my drupal modules, so yesterday the server went down when I had a rush of users coming from stumbleupon.
Finally I will have to eliminate some bugs in my fridge tomorrow morning when making coffee before I go to the bakery to buy something for breakfast if I find some bugs in my pocket :lifedrawing:

Depends on when you call Helena Bonham Carter... if we're talking late 90s, I'm all in. Lately? Not so much...

i just saw Sweeny Todd yesterday and she had the same kind of role as in Fight club and her acting was exactly the same with the same kind of talking and movements too... What roles has she done that makes her performance "good" ? ( genuinely curious obviously =) )

I think she kind of talked differently as Ophelia in that Mel Gibson version of Hamlet. That was back when she was younger. She kind of did a light southern accent in Big Fish and didn't act quite so crazy as Fight Club. I didn't see Sweeny Todd because I figured it would be a train wreck.

I liked Sweeney Todd, but that was at a point in my life when I needed to see someone obsessively murdering people in very violent and graphic ways and the rest of the world unknowingly eating them... all the while singing about how fucked up humanity is.

You have to remember that 400 isnt much of a prize.... To me this sounds like a speculative job. You want art and you dont want to mess with the icky stuff of contacting a professional artist directly. Instead you put out a cash "prize" and you are hoping to get a bunch of artists sending in thier work so you have a bunch of art to choose from for the fraction of the cost.
When illustration work takes about can take 20+ hours for a finished commercialy polished peice and it is only a "chance" of winning the prize, that 200 for first prize works out at a "maybe" $10 an hour.
"07. By publishing artwork on Queeky, you give the owner of Queeky the right to use your artwork on the Queeky websites. You allow Queeky to use your artwork for marketing/publicity/advertising purposes regarding to Queeky only. All commercial and other rights remain to their respective artists. If you want to grant more rights to the Queeky community and general public, you can license your art work using the Creative Commons License. For more information go to http://creativecommons.org (opens in new window)"
At a first read this seems ok, but really what else would you use this illustration work for other than advertising on your website?
Imagine this in any other feild other than art. Imagine walking around to all the restaunts in town and saying "i have $200 for who ever can make me the best dinner", and you only paying the guy that does the best job after a week of free meals.
We are really strong of opinion around here because this stuff happens all the time. and most people who start up competitions like this dont realise that what they are doing hurts the communities. The motives of a competition for it to be fair need to focus on the development of all the artists involved. People dont enter dominance war for the cash prizes, they enter it for a fun learning experience that can give them industry exposure.
p.s spelling errors in the terms and conditions really are dodgy...

I already tried to contact some of the great artists here using private message with a short introducion and just wanted them to inform about my drawing tools. The reaction came from Elwell, as you can read above :

That may be, but on the other hand it may be that a skilled artist throws out a winning sketch in minutes or an hour. And especially for upcoming artists who are not yet deep in the market 200 $ is not bad my friend!

Dude, why are you so skeptical ???
What do you think this terms are there for?
Please make a better suggestion if you think the words are not clear enough?

Take a look what is currently served in the restaurant and evaluate how difficult it would be to create a more tasty meal.

Nothing happend and the community gets hurt?
Sorry but this sounds a bit pathetic. You're true about the real motives of taking part in a competition and of course there are already some Queeky users who are joining the projects. And this not only because of the prizes.

Why am i skeptical?
Well its simple, i cannot see any possible gain for a poker website to collaberate with a drawing site, and put forward a prize for anything other than speculative work. Another thing is that your main draw to doing this contest is the big bold "$400" offers you are flashing around. Why would i possibly want to join a contest like this when the only thing going for it is a chance at making a small amount of money. Not even the theme is very exiting.
Here ive got something for you to read. http://www.no-spec.com/articles/design-contests/
If this really is genuine and the winners are not going to be used for advertisment purposes, make that clear, and make darn well sure that the only reason to do this isnt just the idea of a monetary reward.

Corpirate,
Long story short...
You signed up for THIS site for the sole purpose of getting people to go to YOUR site.
I don't care if you're offering money.
It's lame.
If you want to attract people, don't do so by stealing traffic from another website that is already doing the same thing.
I think your site is nice,
I think your painting software is cool,
and I think your prize money is generous.
But that does not hide the fact that your advertising methods are tacky.

It was the idea of the poker site to make this competition.
A good idea, they will get more hits then a usual advertisement and they will appear as the generous art supporters. Got it?
I'm kind of feeling foolish that I posted this here.
One of my members named kyo suggested me to advertise for Queeky on this forum.
That's why I'm here.

"Stealing traffic" - how pathetic again. At the end it could be a nice advantage and feature for your members to know about the tools. Or do you have own online drawing tools? This way of thinking is a bit egoistic. Think different: your members can quickly create some draings using my tool and then post and discuss it on here. One possibility. Did you ever consider a cooperation of this forum with online drawing tools?
Now that I've seen that most of you guys on here (at least those who responded to this thread) seem to be aggressive and have a negative mind. Why don't you try to think positive?
I thought artists help each other. Haha.
I'm tired of legitimating myself and my work dudes.
