It's for a friend of mine, please, criticize. Just tell me everything you can think about, alternate sketching methods, mistakes...just everything... ;)

Maybe you can add some shade and shadow ...
Some dark areas may help contrasting too...

give mr. director a rough background of the circus .. make sure to create depth ...

yeah, you're right, but ir's only a sketch. I'll add shadows, depth an lighting with the coloration... ;)
But the background...hum...with a wacom it would be no problem to sketch a background with some light colors...but with the mouse?
I will definetly not draw a background, as I said, it's a work for a friend and I'm not very convinced (?) about this character...

Perhaps I'll stop drawing today and grab my english dictionary DAMMIT... :D

btw : here's the inked version. Excuse the fat outlines, I only have to pencils left and they are the cheapest ones you can get in whole Germany I think... ;)

argh...this is kinda late, but i was looking at the line art, and realized that his left hand (holding cane) is almost completely deprived of detail....whereas the right hand has some nice detailing on the joints...

but now that you've colored it - it definitely has an evil glow to it:D btw, is that saliva coming out of his mouth? since it's white, it looks more like food, or those teeth he's missing. i'd lower the opacity on that, hehe.

The left hand, yeah, I noticed it while I was coloring. but I planned to place a freaky monkey in front of him...that would have screened the undetailed (and deformed) hand...BUT...I didn't finished the monkey and already started sketching other things... ;)
