Hi, photoshop newbie here. I am learning how to create digital paintings via wacom in photoshop. Is there a easier way to change your brush color, like a hotkey or a way to map the color hue variation to your wacom wheel? Currently whenever I need to change my brush color I have to lift my wacom pen to the swatches panel and click on the color I want, which is somewhat slowing my process down. Thanks.

Do you mean you jump between some specific colors? Or would you like to be able to change saturation of your current color trough a hotkey etc?
A very common way is to just paint some colored dots on a separate layer and scoop them up with the eyedropper tool when needed, like this (http://karetar.net//piirustukset/makuu_varit.jpg).
If you wanted more specified control over your colors, you should be able to create a hotkey for what ever you want to do in Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts...
Almost every action possible can be given a hotkey here, I suggest you search under Panel Menus for Color/ Swatches panel controls.
Hope this helps at all.
