Earth is no longer a habitable planet. Human nature has almost destroyed itself in its pointless effort to gain control over life itself...the only way to survive in the harsh conditions is by losing humanity.....by becoming technology..........

well, several things went wrong with this piece, up to and including saving over the high res version with a much smaller one. it isn't the most original idea, but it's what I ended up with. All in all I actually think it's ok for just a few hours of work.

A note on this round:

Not much to add, except to say: don't forget to post them in the Newborn thread as linked above as well, if you want :)

voted for Rabies, I think you put the most thought into yours.

Nice painting you have there, Silicone. Yours has a good concept to it as well.

Luci Fer, I must admit the theme of "newborn" doesn't jump out at me, but I think you were going for a newborn type of military weapon. Apologies if I'm wrong. I like how you incorporated the water, good job.

I vote for Silicone, i like alot the way you use the colors and shadows.

I agree with Artiphats, Rabies is great how you work alot making the story of your creation, that way wen you draw images became more believable.

About the "newborn" concept of mine, yea it worries me that the judges of the contest feel the same as you Artiphats, my concept of newborn its a machine (in this case a robot) that its switch on for the first time ( so in some way, start its life), but what you guys think? i still have time to start a new piece, but i hope i can use this one.

Not alot of activity this round, Idw sadly isnt as popular as some of the other competitions. Seems like CK dragged the whole Chow crew over to the IDW for the bombardment tough :P
