I am currently finishing up an action adventure story called "Sina and the Eagle of Doom". This is the part of story where a massive mechanical eagle emerges from beneath the ground. It is almost like a birth as the eagle soars and feeds on the energy of the sun. Hopefully our book will be on the market within the next two months with several illustrations. This story is captivating and fast pace. This illustration started with just a drawing.

Nice idea
But its kind of hard to tell what exactly is what right now. Also, the head looks like it is starting to get out of perspective

well,I have been working on this here and there,so here it is the latest,I fixed some of my mistakes in the initial drawing which had been done very fast .
I blocked in the colors,I am going for earthy tones,man I love Rembrandt ,he puts his paintings in the oven so he can get a earthy and warm tones on it,then he had go at i again,so far so good

again , now giving it more texture, more tones,more details.
I am introducing some self illuminate effects to it,some new colors as well,
I am going to leave it for now,very tired,I am flooded with lots of projects and paintings at the moment,going to come up with something for foreground later.

this is another version ,I was going for more of transformer look,but I had to change ,since it did not look as original as the other one ,I still like the details ,and I like to share it with you.
I looked at lot motorcycle engines to bring detail out of this one.

latest,I really like to do something new,It feels as it was just a warm up.Pretty busy with a lot of projects and deadlines but i have 3 or 4 days to do something fresh.

finally,finally,this is the final version.I played around with some lighting,here and there.some of the colors seems very saturated so I have to tune them down.
some areas were washed out so I gave them some punch.some details on the cliffs and rocks.fixed the shoulder and head of the monster ,actually I repainted the whole thing .here it is,I hope you enjoy it,thanks concept org for the contest.
