I saw recently Google's answer to friend sites, Wave. It's pretty much the same as the rest of them with a few additions to posted images. How long before we're all on that.

Thanks for all the follows, btw...I followed everyone back.
For people that are new to Twitter and don't "get it" quite yet, here's how I describe it:

It's an accurate assessment that it's essentially the same thing as Facebook's "status updates", HOWEVER, it's not as personal (i.e. a lot of people keep Facebook to close people in their lives), and anyone can follow you and you can follow anyone back (that much should be obvious). So once you follow enough people, you find that you basically have a live-feed of hundreds of peoples' thoughts of the moment. It's very addicting to scroll through all of the thoughts just to see what is on peoples' minds. You'll learn about stuff that's hitting the internet like funny links, songs of interest, movie trailers, news about whatever your interests are almost immediately if you check it often.

It's been called "micro-blogging" and that's all it is. The character limit is so you don't have to scroll through walls of text and it forces people to be concise with their thoughts.

Finally, on a side note...as artists, use and abuse Twitter as a means to show your artwork as you do it. You never know who's watching you or following you. I've already gotten a couple of paid jobs just from someone who followed my Twitter, so if anything look at it as one more method to get yourself out there.

There....now start tweeting (I still hate that word, though).

I understand why you guys would be worried that you wouldn't know who's from where in your friend's list. That's why FB has an option to add people to different lists, so you know where you know everyone. I've got everyone from CA on my CA.org list :yayca:
