Hi there again,

This is a fairly broad question for those of you who create mythical/magical/horror sculptures and sell them in the UK. What places do you use to sell your sculptures and what have been the positives and negative experiences of those places?

This can be anything from setting up a stall at the local D&D Gathering to Ebay.

I have so far gained the following insights, please correct me if I am wrong:

E-bay: Great for mass produced however it has a 'something for nothing' mentality which could de-value your sculpture
Etsy: Seems great but is US based so I am unsure of how good it is for UK clients
Bonanzle: Seems like a good idea but is again US based
Craft fairs: Are good but with such a niche market it could be 'hit or miss'

Help and advice is always greatly appreciated especially from the veterans who have 'been there, done that' :-)

Thank you in advance,
Adrian

All the places you mentioned are good starts. From my own research and IMOP, most fantasy sculpts are cast and sold as resin kits. If the pieces are professional quality and unique you might be able to sell the product to specialty websites or toy manufactures. Example - Todd MCFARLANE (MCFARLANE TOYS) creator of spawn. The Role Playing community and the MMO community are your target audience. I would find outlets to these groups.

Cheers for that eb sculpt. Can anyone else add to this?
