Imagine that you are living your everyday life and suddenly you feel you are being magically infused by an unknown spell. later during that day something happens to you and you realize you now have a special power.

What would that be and why!?(the "I want to have the power of having every single powers" crap doesnt apply here, dont be a smartass.

I, for sure, would choose mind control. The possibilities with that power would be endless... convincing everyone Im the best, convincing people to give me all their money, their home, convincing jessica alba to have some fun time together.. :D

To be able to become invisible. Because sometimes I really want to be invisible, and also because I could watch girls when they shower and they would never know.

The power to mess with peoples heads. Make them hallucinate whatever I want them to. Think of all you can do with it, you turn around and see your family massacred, you holding a knife and covered in blood, then all of a sudden *poof* it's all gone, you're eating dinner with your family, you relax a little then *poof* it was a dream and you wake up in your bed, now you're weirded out then *poof* you're plummeting towards the earth from hundreds of feet in the air. After a while you don't know what's real and what's fake, you lose touch with reality, not sure if what you're feeling is real or not, not sure if the next moment is gonna disappear revealing all of the feelings and experiences you had to be fake, maybe the past few years of your life have been fake, maybe it never really existed, maybe you don't exist, you become paranoid, confused and lose your mind. You could trap people inside their minds. Good thing I don't have this power haha

I don't think I'd care for flying....I think the bugs in my mouth, dried out eyes, and cold temperature would turn me off of that.

I don't think I'd care for invisibility...what would I do? Probably something illegal, honestly. I don't think I need that temptation.

Any kind of fireballs or light beams or electricity would certainly be cool, but I'd definitely be a villain and you'd all be dead and I like you guys enough to spare you that. Hey, don't blame me...absolute power corrupts absolutely! It'd be way too easy to get bored and just start wasting people randomly. Ever play Infamous or Prototype? Yeah....exactly. ;)

Power to heal? Now that is something to think about....I could heal anyone of disease! I'd actually probably try to be fairly heroic with this because there are a lot of suffering people in the world. Unfortunately, I think once the word got out, the fame would be a little overwhelming and people would be tearing at me to heal them. So I'd probably pass on this....I'd never get any sleep.

....
I'd probably just have to say reading minds, but not the versions that have been presented in fiction where it's like a million voices screaming at you at once. I'd like to to just target someone and know what they are thinking about me. I think it'd be nice to see the liars out there and then call them out on it on the spot. Invasive? Maybe, but that's what you get for being a liar. ;)

Abstract Realization: The ability to make thoughts real and alter reality.
Intuitive Aptitude: The ability to learn anything easily and to understand complex systems just by looking at them. Understand people, situations, and the universe perfectly.

I would like to be able to selectively forget things, so I can experience things anew. Then I could watch a great movie, read an engrossing book, or hear a beautiful piece of music, and have it still be as fresh as the very first time I experienced it.
Plus, I could watch Star Wars again and actually be surprised to learn that Darth Vader is Luke's father.

I signed up just to reply to this >_>

My whole life I've gotten the so called dreams where you fly- except instead of flying, I am just able to jump really, really, well. Like 100 feet in the air. And it feels highly realistic because of the rushing of wind, the zero g while falling, and the sharp pain of landing (I usually stick to grass in these dreams). I also have to use considerable effort in my leg muscles to be able to jump this high.

And it's so amazing and fun. Everyday I wish to dream of jumping well that evening. And then a couple years ago Cartoon Network came out with Samurai Jack, and it just so happens he learns how to jump like this in episode 14. It's my favorite episode lol ^.^

So yeah... that's the power I would want. To be able to jump tens or hundreds of feet high.

For my lucid dreams to last more than 10 seconds... And I could therefore have any power I want.

This is what i writed once about my experiences:

woke one night, but inside a dream. It is called lucid dreaming and i decided to collect some empirical evidence about dreaming on general:

1- Electrical equipment changes their outward appearance as you look away, number of buttons and layout changes. Information on digital displays are absurd, numbers change all the time or it looks like klingon on crack.

2- Everything looks as real and believable as here, but it is more colourful somehow, more contrast and the light and shadows do not follow laws of physics. The amount of detail is astonishing, but in changes also a littlebit every time. Confusing but fun.

3-Dream tries to hijack your consciousness all the time back into dreaming, beware of this or you do not stay lucid trought the dream. It feels like you start thinking something and next thing you are following the dream again and acting everything as it would be real.

4-People are weird, you might meet your friends in a dream but they feel like clones or fake images, they do things different way they would do in real life and usually feels sinister... It might be me also.

5- Fly! It is best there is if you are lucid, it is like this: you jump in the air and do not fall, you feel the pull of gravity but you can steer against it. Sometimes this works better and you can get miles high, sometimes you just glide your way trought treetops. Fucking awesome!

(asking anything or getting some information is practically impossible, either way the dream takes different turn and you forget it all or answer mutates into something unrecognisable)

Necrokinesis.
Regular telekinesis, with the added ability to make all organic matter break down almost instantly, "forced, high-speed rotting" if you will. It's effects would be faster and stronger with direct contact of said organic thing.

I got the idea in a dream where I punched a man in the face, and his head started decaying and falling apart starting from where I hit him.

That was an odd dream.

super fast reading, imagine how smart you will become

but nothing will be more nice than healing innocent kids that got infected in 89 of AIDS, i just read a newsletter, witch said that in the year 89 where Romania was fighting to get out of communism, a loot of innocent, small kids got infected whit this virus because of the incompetence of the doctors.

but a loot of them live now whit it and they are just fine whit thanks to the advanced treatment that they receive

ya man that's my passion right here, healing those kids let them have a normal life... so they don't need to hide ...

The whole mind reading thing could be very handy though, really... I mean not only could you tell if people were lying to you, if you were the unlawful type you could go to stock traders or ceos of companies and find out like insider trading secrets (granted, with the economy the way it is now, maybe that wouldn't be so great) and you could get RICH without having done anything anyone can link you too.

With mind control convincing people to give you their money... would you have to make them forget you were there too? Otherwise they could tell people and you could get in trouble if they accused you of theft or something.

Hmm... I think I like mind control.

I do not really care about having a genetically-derived "superpower," per say. I just want a Green Lantern ring. Maybe then I can do several pages all at once and be ahead on deadlines. Furthermore I would like have the power of Ion so I would not get sick from staying up too late to finish my pages, or get sick from all those nights not eating. And maybe, just maybe..... I could tell my wife I have an all-powerful whale shark underneath my painting smock with a straight face......
