What 'essential' brushes would I need, as I begin digi-painting?

Hi, could you please direct me to some useful/essential brushes and tell me just a 'little' about how to use them? (:

1) Hard, round, pressure-sensitive opacity

If you don't know why you need a brush or how to use it, then don't. That's why you start out simple with the round brush, and later expand your brush library when you gain experience.

Play with the hardness to get the edges you need.
