Any one know how do i open files in cs4 without it docking to the top?
In the last version of Photoshop i used> CS..Whenever i opened a psd or jpg file it would float nicely in the workspace.
But now in CS4 wether i open through file or click -drag into cs4, it fills up all the workspace and docks itself to the top.ITS annoying!:[

Is there anyway to fix this so anytime i open a file in cs4 it floats in the workspace??

Thank you:)

Is there anyway to fix this so anytime i open a file in cs4 it floats in the workspace??Go to Preferences/Interface and uncheck 'Open Documents as Tab'.

It will work as you expect except if you drag a document from your file manager to Photoshop.

Or there is also the 'Arrange Documents' button that allows you to use 'Float all in Windows' option.

Anyway you need to know that documents opened in floating windows are kept on top of docked palettes so you will need to undock them if you need to see your UI
