It's a story about two people from entirely different worlds. Story between a newly born Mermaid and a soldier. Came to my mind while listening to the music of Blue Stone - a song called Worlds Apart.
The thing I've had in mind was a mermaid and a some sort of high tech soldier but they cannot touch each other. After I've overcome my Poserophobia I decided to use the items I've bought from Renderosity (I know it's kinda a blasphemy to talk like that here ) But I'm not good at organics and I really needed a cute mermaid for that scene - which currently I'm not able to do.

After that I needed an opposite character to emphasize the composition. I've set up this futuristic soldier guy in Poser.

I wanted to block out the scene to see how things look in general. I've used Deco Walls of Poser again.

And import things to Vue and started to add lights and see things looking like that I had in mind or not.

After that I started to model the room in Cinema 4D. Started completely from scratch but the Deco room I've made on previz gave great ideas to put together.

After finished the modeling I wanted to render it in "clay" to see the details under bright light.

When modelings done - I started to work on UVs. I didn't laid out the UVs. Instead I've started to add UV map modifier (tag) of C4D with proper mapping options to get rid of the strechings.

After that I've exported the room and imported to Vue Infinite to texture mapping and materials. All done in Vue and Photoshop.

Lights and camera... the beautiful moment that I felt like a director.

Nearly final - rest will be Photoshop work after a long 4500 pixel final render. There were weird artifacts on Vue 6 render and I decided to test the scene on Vue 7.2. Results was much better - lights and shadows were much more accurate and no artifacts.
