This is derived from the culture of different ethnic groups in China.

very dynamic and well-made designs! it would be nice to know about the different ethnicities- perhaps you explain it some way with text... next to each character? I also think you could benefit from showing these characters from the back side, or make some orthographic views of one of these, so that a 3D modeler can easily use them.

I think you character work is great. I thought they looked fun and energetic. Not that I have any experience doing this but it seems to me like they would translate well into a game model. One critique on females in your set, I don't think you needed to do the topless thing. Looking through the rest of your set it seemed a bit forced. Didn't quite fit in for me. But hey, that's only a small thing compared to the skill you've shown.

I did some research and culture of ethnic minorities.
My English is pool,so I used google to help me to translate this word,hahahaha.

to Donovan V:About that females set,she is a god in Tibet,called Kong Xing Mu（空行母）.I imagine she is a beautiful and sexy girl.So...haha~~

to benzo:Thank you~The character is Chinese calligraphy.The writer is a calligrapher in the Tang Dynasty, a thousand years ago.I use it to spell the names of characters.

Now I'll explain these name
1 Cong Ren(从仁):From the names of ancestors of the Naxi ethnic（One of China's ethnic minorities）

2 Xiu Chan-Designate（修赞候）:The lord of Xiu Chan party. This concept come From Tibetan.

3 Ba Shan（拔山氏）:The name means very strong,can pull up the mountain.This concept come From Yi ethnic.

4 Kong Xing Mu (空行母）:The name means walk on the sky.This concept come from Tibetan too

5 Shadow Xiu Chan's warrior（影子卫教军):This concept come from NaXi ethnic Priests.

6 Sword Sally（剑仙）:Fencing master.

7 Scout（斥候）:This concept come from Na Xi ethnic.

8 Jue Zang Shi(掘藏师）:The practitioners to find Terton.This concept come from Tibetan.

The character with the chain around his wrist could use more work done to his forearms as well to his fists.
