I remember watching this documentary out of boredom: Zeitgeist: Addendum (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7065205277695921912&ei=cudGSsrCM5uEqQLNt6GNBg&q=zeitgeist&hl=en&client=firefox-a)

At first, I sort of agreed with it. It was talking about where money came from, how it's made out of nothing and creates debt. Then it went from me agreeing with it, to being batshit insane. It started talking about abolishing money, and saying U.S. is part of some how giant conspiracy to make slaves out of people for free, and it controls other countries.

I finished watching the whole thing, but the second half of it sounds like it was made by a moonbat conspiracy nut. Anyway, they have this website where they want to start a project to abolish all money... I gave it a look.

Oh look... a shop (http://www.thevenusproject.com/shop/).

Now this REEKS OF BULLSHIT
The people who want to get rid of money are charging large amounts for novelty crap. The guy who created the documentary is supposedly an artist, and you can buy his art in the shop I linked.

Here's the bullshit: Learn to draw overnight, learn the secret of art from him.

I'm 99% sure this is some horseshit scam... but I'm curious as to what's in the video.

Hey, hey... hey! Watch it, mister.
You keep this up and we'll have Charlie Sheen n' Alex Jones in here with bull horns and "inside job" t-shirts. Not to mention a few certain someones will show up blaming everything on the Jews and all the US Presidents combined.

Haha, funny thread, yeah, i've seen zeitgeist abbendum months ago, and i share the same opinion ! Bu the drawing videos made me laugh ! It's like a big joke ! Especially after seeing jacque talking about money in his video, 97$ for a cartoon video ( and we dunno the lenght of the vid, maybe 30 minutes ? ) is a big bullshit ! Even the girl in the vshort video, lol her expression was funny, she was like " damn, what i am doing here ? why am i lying ? maybe i should smile ? * Anyway, it was really funny :D

The saddest thing is that people get rich of that stuff. People actually buy it. The one thing that puzzles me, though, is why every single one of these scams are valued at $97. $97 seems to be some sort of magic number when it comes to rip-offs.

Actually not just scams , but a whole portion of the market sells for figures like 97, 99.9 ,45.

Considering the cost per credit hour at a university art program, $97 for lessons on drawing basics (perspective and the shape construction thing, etc. are useful, we all had to do it at some point) isn't really a bad deal. But the CA downloads are a way better deal.

Yeah i think I first saw the whole zeitgeist thing on facebook and I joined the group b.c it seemed sane enough. Then i looked down and it had all this 9/11 conspiracy stuff and some really radical anti-government / anarchist bullshit. So I didnt even bother to watch any of the movie.

Not a conspiracy but the natural effect of it. Conspiracy works because it talks to your fears. If it didn't it wouldn't have worked.

But you never know.. A pyramid with an eye,... Controlling the currency over what everyone is doing. We could have used clams. Money was once a small affair but it's now a huge monster of a system.

I think money is still the safetyzone, it's what comes after money that's going to rob soles. In other words we might as well be dead, what's the point of not having free will and a sense of sanctity. The fruit of human life is experience in the caos, what did you do, what choices did you make etc, if they kill that caos the eagle won't like the taste of ya. When humans cross that line and think that they can machinate humans from birth it would violate our existance. God said behave and get along, not give your ass over to a computer.

I think that's why jesus took his deciple's through a corn field and just went ahead and picked corn to eat. The farmer would have shot them but I think he was leaving the parrable behind that when the going get's too tough, everything is god's property.

People will frown at such a statement but eh, when that time comes you have to think about your options.

But aparently whoever is going to implant themselves with these ID chip, credit cards cell phone's or whatever it is are going to get some brain radiation that's going to hurt like hell. It can only be a monatary system that they are going to enforce, I mean what else can it be when "You can't buy or sell without it". It's most probably how it's gonna come together, the fight against anonymity, fraud, invisibillity etc.. It's all good and it looks proper but it's the natural flow of the money evolution, it's the better idea to behave and not commit fraud etc.. than having a machine manage it for you. The sad part is that's how humans are, they don't manage so something comes along and manages for them. They don't appoint a better king, or the kings don't behave so they get rid of kings and manage it in another way.

Who ever said evolution is done. We are still evolving, there's no need to start doing all kinds of funny stuff with humans. The devine plan's has it's own desighns and it's only a matter of time before humans are going to trip over it.

I googled the text of his speech in the movie. It's Jiddu Krishnamurti. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jiddu_Krishnamurti)

The only reason I asked is because he has a very interesting, drawable face.

zeitgeist is bullshit, since the davinci code now every conspiracy lunatic is doing their own documentary trying to make people think that they have found the "truth" showing you their stupid ideas using fancy graphics, music and, even worse, sarcasm.

People should stop being a sheep, anyone that claims that they have found the truth is a LIAR.

I only saw the first movie of zeitgeist, and I was also nodding throughout most of the movie, specially on the first part about religion, but the final part did seem to start being too far fetched, But when I start thinking about the entire process of creating money and how it enters the system... Well, it really makes me think.

I think people should see the movie because it speaks at least some truth, I won't say it's all true because I'm a skeptic of nature anyway, but it definitely makes you think and opens your mind to other views, that for me is the most important. But the way the media controls people.. Specially in the USA. I'm not american, but I see a lot of their TV shows and my jaw drops a lot of times, the way they deliver information on things is so... closed. They don't give space for any more points of view than what they're showing. I also see all their patriotism and I think it's ridiculous. Too much patriotism causes blindness.

I saw an Oprah show talking about sex, and I was so shocked at the way they showed the diagrams of an illustration of a woman's reproductive system, and saying the names like they were talking to little children. I learnt that when I was on my 4th grade, please. I wonder if they are so backwards as they show on the TV, I hope not. A bit of a rant here, because I would love that this country that is supposedly the most powerful in the world would take advantage of it's power in the best way, but I will stop now or I would write a book here :blahblah::P

More like a small group of scientist rather than "conspiracy nuts"....they were referencing the Venus Project......which wouldn't abolish currency, but it would change the focus of currency into resources rather than precious metals, and worthless paper.

So, for instance, Medicinal research right now is held back because of lack of funds, but under a resource based economy the medicine itself would be the source of value. So instead of opening a research facility for cancer in hopes to find a cure AND sell it to the public, the facility would be opened to find the cure for everybody.

Their philosophy relies on the idea that Automation will eventually take over the work force, so instead of people working at a construction jobs for example machines would do it themselves. So when this happens what would happen to the people?

everything in the second movie up untill their possible solution is 100% accurate. The first movie had a lot of BS about religion that wasn't true which would through alot of people off......

FACT: paper money is illegal under the US constition. The reason is the same reason why the great depression happened, and why we are in a horrible recession right now. Without anything to base the value of a dollar on, the value of the dollar becomes inherent to the amount of dollars in circulation. So the only way for the money to be worth anything is for it to be in circulation, but the more money we print the less value it has. It's basically printing paper and giving it value. What the venus project is inferring, is that this paper and gold as currency should be abolished in place of resources, technology, and natural resources. The things we need to survive instead of things that do nothing for us by themselves.

Yep Elam, its Krishnamurti. Brilliant guy.
ZG info is pretty good for the most part. Then it goes into what I find to be weird desires for "utopia" that just cant happen yet. The world society is still quite primitive. Still running around and bonking each other on the head with clubs, and stealing each others food.
They say that "money" is holding us down as well as the financial institutions that uphold that system. And that "technology" will liberate us. Blah! I say. Humans are holding humans back from liberation. We are still petty, unenlightened, egotistical, selfish(even in generosity), insecure, violent, greedy, fearful, etc.
Until we stop pointing fingers at the outside structures that we think are making our lives stressful, and start focusing on ourselves, we will continue these vicious cycles. We've had them since humans have been thinking. But until we all(all) work hard at straightening out our sh*t in our heads and our hearts, nothing will change. Lead by example, not by "voting" or complaining or mudslinging.
Another comment about Addendum: A monetary free system would only work if the entire world agreed to do it at the same time. GOOD LUCK. Our world leaders still cant figure out feeding the hungry and housing the homeless. Oh yeah, and those same world leaders all suffer(most likely-power breeds corruption) from most of the vile traits listed above. We're all in deeeeep.
Maybe thats why movies are all going to fantasy worlds/comics and games keep getting more playtime....

Looking into the Builderberg group only leads to realization that Big Brother has been here for a looonnnng time and 'aint goin nowhere.
