Funky lookin' character that is coming along. I don't know the story or how you are going to use the character but you might like to have a think about the face. I think with small eyes, little facial features and large appendages at the ends of limbs, you might have some problems animating expression and really making the character believable. Then again, that might not be your aim so ignore comments as appropriate.

the progress ends today... I´ve to sleep and think about
your comments:) Thanks a lot!
I´ve got always a problem with thinking about the posibility of animating these figures!
I´ve considered the mouth as a cut out with replacable
photos of my own mouth. The eye expression would only be
achieved by eyebrowes sitting over the small eyes.
Does anybody have an idea how to improve this?

The lighting/shadow on the bot's left foot (right on paper) is wrong. It looks carved this way.
I'll post a paintover if it didn't make any sense to you...

I think eyebrows are a definate if you want him to show expression better, continue to experiment with different sizes shapes etc. Really looking fun and clean. Keep it up man!

It looks real sweet and funny. :)
For some reason I see the guy and thinks "telephone"... I dunno why? :/
I wonder if the mouth is right, I would want a halfmoon shaped mouth - D. Also, maybe he could have oval eyes like - 00?
eybraws - I suggest eyebrows smaller ones, than the "groucho" ones now
All in all - fine work, cant wait to see the puppet! :D

I also fixed the bot's right foot a little...

The design is really coming along and the rendering on the hands and forearms looks good. I think the eyebrows will help out to no end but not sold on the mouth. Maybe try to keep it simple and have the mouth some variation of the eyebrow, which will give you alot of flexibility animation wise.

Ok, maybe this comment pisses you off now, but i think the char is much better looking without the mouth (it looks more like a human-being now)...also it's a great challenge for you to make the char express emotions without a mouth, just with eyes and gestures...
It also looks like too many details now...the first sketches/wips were very cool and unique...
keep it up!

i agree with fozzybear.
WHat u also have to keep is those little mech holes , instead of eyes , much cooler imo.
Nice design btw :)

I have to agree with above comments - the new eyes are not better than the old "mech" eyes (even If I was one suggesting other eyes...). Thoose original beedy little "diod" eyes are the real deal, I think :)
Also, the mouth bugs me somehow... How about just a _ which sorta ripples like a waveform when he talks? sorta like ~. Im thinking both mouth and eybrows can lie on top of the figure
Looking forward to updates :)

Hello again, just to add my two cents like the others. Yes I really loved the first eyes, they really gave the character a unique robotical yet emotional look, it that makes sense! But its your character so keep the updating and have fun!!;)

The original look is the best in my opinion. I like the blank robotic stare...it can be so many different emotions at once and it will force the viewer to draw their own conclusions about what the robot is "feeling."
Big fan of less is more!
