Ok guys, I must be honest, I really hate Mignola’s draw style, honestly, I hate it!!!
Here you have a commissioned work I have been ask to do, the specifications were “I want it just as if Mignola sketched it” so I tried to do it as he sculpted him. You can see the triangular abdominals, the low shoulders, the ugly big deformed right arm, and all the stuff.
As always, was sculpted with epoxy putty, it is about 9 inches. It was painted with traditional acrylics.
I wanna thank to my ol’ pal Arkanos for the pics. Well done my amigo!!!!!

I would buy it if I could afford it. How much did it cost to make?

wow, very nice piece. If you ever decide to take this for mass production or even limited be sure to let me know, as I would most definitely be interested in purchasing something this well done:D . I only have one little picky thing, the abdominal section looks a bit strange, though I really can't put my finger on it, they just don't seem to go with the rest, how they are shaped maybe? ehh, I can't say for sure.
but hey, I'd like to buy something like this;)

Sorry guys, but this is a one of a kind piece, so it is not gonna be a mass production, but believe me, I would love to see it produce. About the price, a couple of hundreds bucks, ok, maybe a little more, it was made as a collector requests with his specifications. About the abdominals, I know they don't look natural, but the buyer wants him as Mignola's style, so I have to sculpted those damned triangle strange abdominals as the original designs. It was quite a challenge to do a sculpt I don't like, but, I am happy with the result, and that was the joy of sculpting it.
Thanks for your kind words, I will be back with more sculpts soon.

very impressive
the facial hair seems less 'tough' and alittle more 'grandfather', i'm not sure what is making me think that though

Yeah, i have to agree with davi. I didn't notice it until he mentioned it but i still agree. I think it may be the hair is so "clean-cut" it isn't really messy. But I'm not really sure if thats it.

The sculpt is quit nice but I´ve got one question concerning the
epoxy putty. I´ve worked with this kind of sculpting material in order to sculpt
miniatures for tabletop games but is the putty hazardous???
It is indicated that epoxy is irritant when the putty contacs skin, but how do you work without using your hands?? (´--->skin!!)

Hey, thank you very much for your sopport and the critics. About costs, it deppends on the design and the size, if it is a bust or a full figure, and the amount of details, but could go from 1000 bucks to 5000 bucks.
About the hair, take a look at the Mignola's original design, the hair is just a clean brush around the head.
About the epoxy putty, man I don't know what you have been using, I always use epoxy and never had a bad reaction, maybe you should try a known material as Aves, and about the smell, the one I use is an Argentinean epoxy, similar to the American Aves, but without the smell.
Some of my old works can be seeing at Alterton Bizarre site (http://www.iespana.es/altertonbizarre) or at the Sculptors Coner site (http://www.iespana.es/sculptorscorner)
Thanks again guys.
