For the longest time I have been buying Sketch paper, but I want to know the diffrence and the real reason others by Bristol and Drawing pads. I truley dont know the diffrence, but I do know that you can get a cleaner drawing by Drawing Pads, becase the paper dosent absorb so much graphite.

I have also noticed that Bristol and Drawing paper can be a bit more expensive then sketch paper, even thought you get less pages over all. So what Im trying to get it is what is the diffrence between Bristol/Sketch/Drawing pads.

Well, I don't know all the nuts and bolts (although I'll bet someone here does), drawing paper is at least heavier than most sketch paper.

what sort of medium are you using, the process of how you create, and the desired look you are after will all affect what sort of paper you should be after.

some thoughts about paper:
