no offense, but this isnt really the thing for "its finally finished" on this website. its pretty simple and it looks alright, but not like it required much work at all.

well, it's ok. The concept I like, and you kept it simple, just a bit too simple for my taste. I can see how you were going for the fire effect, it just seems like more than one flame needs to be there, maybe a group of them dancing? People often talk about "dancing close to the fire" or "dancing flames" so that is why I suggested that change. It looks nice, but I think a little but more work should have gone into it before it was posted here.

anyway, good job on this.

Awwww, he's so cute!

I don't see why he can't be "finally finished". Some peeps like more graphical vectory style. Doesn't mean it isn't work.

fresh27: it's cool, everyone's entitled to their opinion.

Anghardel : the "fire" effect? it's a character and i decided to make it orange because it gives him more of a personality.

dexter from dexter's lab was a simple character to draw and look where his creator is now. it's kinda obvious that it's a cartoon, so im just wondering why you're both looking for realism..

I don't think you need to add to it at all!, Just move the little flame guy to one side of the background and make him bigger, maybe a chunk of him is cut off at the edge, that would make for better composition. Aside from that he's beautiful!

Cool concept. I'm just not sure if the fuzzy drop shadow works really well with the vector style of art that you have gone for here. You might also want to see what the image looks like with red line work rather than the black that you have it. I think that might add to the overall 'fire' effect.
