Hello,
I haven't posted for awhile now but as I am working as a digital designer now and am lead graphics developer I am discovering that marketing trumps design. As they can come in and say that paint that red because we want you to. There are some reasoning behind their requests but usually its really narrow minded reasons they use.
Its like they have had these 3 day courses about design... YELLOW good Black depressing Green is growth. Big is better. I usually manage to fight them off with my superior know-how in visual perception but well they are really stubborn.
I want to hear that I am not alone and the only one who thinks marketing people should be SHOT on sight there is no excuse for their existence. As our old friend Bill Hicks used to say "No seriously this is not a joke go kill yourselves!"
So people ease my pain and tell me about your own misery
