crits and comments are really apprecatied.

"This week ive been mostly drawing feet"

http://orgmorgnorg.250free.com/feet1.jpg http://orgmorgnorg.250free.com/feet2.jpg

These feet are more developed i learnt to bring the heel in and not pronounce it as much also the length need to be made shorter.

#10 on paper 1 turned out really cool...

The heels on all feet are too large...is this your intention (cartoony)?

Thanks for the reply. The heel is to far out and ive rectified that in my more recent sketchs (coming up).

Some more feet now with more depth

nothing like capturing the basic form of the hand....
http://orgmorgnorg.250free.com/hands3.jpg

The first pictures where close and hard. The latter ones drift apart and become more watered down. I need to put a bit more force into them...........Oh yeah and im cool because i did that horn thing with the hand

I did do some arms but christmas and new year has caught up with me and they didnt hold my attention for long. However i did do a copy of a picture from my "movies of the 90's book"

This is Liam Nesson (dont know how you spell last name) i think its all right, the scanner doesnt do it justice a tall. In fact the scanner is sh*t it does an aweful job, any tips for getting a better result? Anyway hopefully you can get the basic feel from this drawing. Crits and comments apprecatiated!

more hands...
Things i learnt/things to do:
I need to study thumb more its hard to but a finger on what it is i find hard about drawing it. I think its that fleshy bit between the palm and the thumb i dont know how to draw that nicly yet.
I need to put more shading in more darker lines etc.
Do a few more life studys

if you could comment on anything id find it useful!

You really have a good grasp on how to break the different parts of the body into manageable bits :) I really like your mechanical like drawings and absolutely love the hand thats drawing the little stickman..

And now on to the crits.. Liam neeson is a bit too flat.. I had the same problem scanning pictures when I only used a HB pencil... Is this just mechanical pencil? I would suggest using a normal traditional one since it gives some shading options not available to the mechanical ones.. I would also suggest getting pencils in the range from 3B to 6B since they give really good crisp contrast to the white paper.. I switched and voila, problem disapeared.. and also I would suggest darker shadows... Dont worry.. not that big a problem, just a minor one.

Feet drawing.. I see you have a bit of a comical take on legs :) They are too high up in the middle and have a big ankle to be too realistic.. Great style. I like it.

The hands are shaping up.. keep drawing them..

I'll be back.

Some hands i referenced. I need to learn the subtle shading and dark areas which make the hand so i dont have to draw all of it, i can suggest it. May or maynot do some work this afternoon. Have to do some college work.

The paper in this book is really crap for scanning ill stay with the other stuff in furture.

Hi
here is a detailed picture i worked on this afternoon. Its good but i know i can do much better. On this picture i really mainly want to know what you think is the weakest point/s. I need to sort the scanner out aswell its a little crappy (blaming the scanner, always a good excuse)

Hi some new pictures. I used a softer pencil this time. One thing i have learnt the white and the darkest black have to be used very sparingly. Ihave also drawn a couple of thumb studies because i find the thumb quite tricky to draw with out ref. Comments welcome

I can see improvement there.. keep it up dude.. To get your scanner to scan better play around with your contrast and brightness.. I found that it helps.. or use darker penclis. I am impressed with the arm muscle studies.

One thing I'm noticing about your feet is that you seem a little confused about which side the arch is on. The outside of the foot stays flat on the floor, and the inside of the foot has an arch (a rather high one as I see you've noticed. Sometimes it's hard to tell which side is the inside and which is the outside because all of the toes are identical, but that's not always the case.

You are showing progress definitely, I like the tortured lips. ;-)

Hay thanks for the comments!
The feet up there are really crap i need to work on them some more. Ill post some more stuff up soon.
And also that is a dam good point you made about my toes being the same. they are all differnt not just in size. Ill bear that in mind when I do some more pictures.
