Well I finally got my very own tablet and it has been a blast experimenting with it. Here is my first piece. C&C appreciated.

Proportions look solid, and the pose is pretty good. The hands look like they gave you some trouble, which happens to a lot of us. Check out some magazines for reference material, you should be able to find some good hand positions for this piece.
The only other thing I would like to see (note: this is preference, not critique) is more depth in the character. I don't see a light source at all, and that would add some dynamics to the piece.
Let's take it up.....another notch!

wow this is pretty good for a first try! good work, i like the shadows in the hair!

Thanks, I agree about the lightsource not being there =P. To tell you the truth, color has been my enemy all my life. Believe it or not, this is my first finished colored piece; in the sense where I'm pretty satisfied with.
I will get my wacom and start working on another. Thanks.
