OK, I finally managed to get some paint on this fellow....
Should anyone be interested the story starts at:
http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=135602
Purpose of this excercise:
1. Try to make a mold
2. Paint armour
3. Paint a shield (or banner)
15 cm high, Super Sculpey, painted with Vallejo and Games Workshop paint.
Making a mold of the original bust-parts was great fun, - and I decided I needed to make a full roman croc. So the copy-parts made in CR-600 (Micro-Mark) and the SS parts was mixed - hard to tell the difference?
Armour turned out OK - but next time the bronze (gold) should be airbrushed on (instead of hand-painted) - it is a bit uneven.
Shield was not as hard as imagined. I took the liberty of adding the black lines with a pen after the painting was done.
