The album Prolonging the Magic by Cake has a PA Explicit Content sticker on it. I have the unedited version of it but i don't know why it has the PA sticker on it. If anyone knows please help me out here. It just makes no sense!

i got it at sam goody. it doesn't contain bad language, i think. the only things bad in it are the same lyrics to the edited version. so its probably a nation wide mislable.

I've been looking at other forums and nobody seems to understand. Here's what somebody else said on amazon:

In my opinion, CAKE is one of the best bands out there. This cd is great. Although it says it's explicit lyrics, it's not. The only cuss word is hell, and it's not even bad in the context they put it in. They don't talk about anything bad either like killing people or whatever and I really don't know who decides if it's parental advisory or not but this cd definately should not be. All of the songs are good, but my favorite is Never There. I highly reccomend picking this one up, if you have the means

It must be the content then. I have know idea why it would be labeled like that. maybe it is a Cake thing and they wanted it on the CD? who knows...
????

maybe they thought putting it on the album would make it go platinum like their previous one. but they probably learned better because their 1st and latest ones dont have those on them.

If you ever want to buy a CD with the PA sticker on it, go to Wal-Mart. They don't even check for it or your age. I don't even think they care. I know I wouldn't.

i really dont think cake would put a parental advisary label on their cd cover just to sell cds, i dont think that anyone who would listen to cake would really care about "explicit content"

does anyone know why they called themselves cake?

i have the cd and dont care that it has a PA on it, i also have Fashoin Nugget and that one deserves a PA, but Prolonging the Magic doesn't need one but does.

Both Fashion Nugget and Comfort Eagle have explicit lyrics stickers on them and probably slightly deserve it... I don't have Prolonging the Magic but I have heard about the whole thing with the sticker and no explicit lyrics...
