Great Books on Colour theory?

I really want to focus on teaching myself the finer points about colour theory, and was wondering if anyone knows any great books on the subject. Great colour theory will greatly enhance work done in any medium, and I believe this is the next step to pushing myself to become better as an artist.
I already on a copy of betty edwards book on colour, but I doubt that this is the definitive book on colour.

Any suggestions? Are there any books you can't see yourself living without, when it comes to the subject?

I originally saw this recommended in Maitland Grave's Art of color and design, and Color fundamentals, where he tells you how to use these to plan out color schemes.

Color theory has been written about since ancient Greece in Plato's and Aristotle’s writings. Isaac Newton even has a few essay’s about color theory. He even went as far as to pair up light wavelengths with sound wavelengths like pink for C sharps and purple for B minor and all that. He even went as far as to say that someday we'll have boxes that would play music and show corresponding colors for our enjoyment. Bet if he saw a music video he would've shit his pants. :wtf:

I've read a lot of books on color theory and all of them suck-- hard core-- but one. That was Joseph Albers book on color that guy spent his life studying discord and harmony between colors and we owe much of what we know today to his studies. Its pretty dry and kinda heady but its better than some ass hole who'll insult your intelligence and teach you nothing beyond common sense for 20 bucks.

i was going to say there aren't any and then someone had to go and mention the munsell books :/

but i'm in agreement. the little yellow totally cheapo xerox'd copy booklet that comes with the new munsell student set and briggsy's site is more than enough info for 99% of the population and fair to say 99% of the population will only read/digest %1 of it but hey we all like to pretend we are studious learners right

Seriously, everyone read this. its only 80 pages but awnsers alot of the questions i see people struggling with all the time.
