started this in my spare time the other day.. i am about 60% done the texturing i think.. anyways.. heres a progress shot.

Looks really nice man, I like it. A couple of thigns I would do tho. The skin has a nice realistic look to it, but the face looks cartoony. Neither style is bad in itself but I dont think they are working together very well. the eyes are too saturated, and dont have any shadow from where it is set into the head, so it doesnt feel anchored. The teeth i think suffer from teh same thing, then need some shadows on the gums and some shading on the edge, so they dont looks so cut out. I like it alot man, fits with the dog you did really well, like they are from the same game, now post your dag on flats, before I mollywhop you with my moderator cock

Yeah I agree with...Mr. Poop. The eyes do seem a little out of place, as do (I think) the nails on his hands. Maybe you could darken these up, and it would give it a great feel to the whole piece. You know what I love about great 3D Works, is that they look like they are pictures of maybe a clay doll or something taken from real life, I love it man.

okay.. update.. heres the latests version of the textures. Fixed the eyes.. that gauddy seam and also the nails.

and .. here is the color map.. i am still trying to learn a little bit better on how to optimize the layout of the uvs before i start to paint. this one i ended up moving some things to help with seems.. like the upperleft corner where the head is.. used to have way more polys taking up that black area but .. *shakes fist at seams* wel.. it worked better this way..

The armor has a really nice gritty look, like it's been through hell and back. Also the spikes coming out of it look like they're made of some kind of sharpened bone. I'm not sure if that's intended but it looks great and totally suits the character.

I believe that the armor really takes away from the focus as the great textures on the character. I think that if you maybe toned down the colors, like you did with the eyes and nails, it would turn out really nice. Also, you may want to blur it or smooth it out, because right now it seems a little too sharp. Looks like a good start though :)

Hey guys thanks for the comments. But yeah i agree with Mos.. i have to tone down the armor a tad. its a little over powering. need to smooth the bumps out a bit too.. its a tad too beat up.

i mihgt need to tone downthe brightness of the trim.. but i think this is a major improvement.

With a little tweaking, such a model would be perfect for a LOTR RTS game.

Im guessing you might already do this for a living but if that thing came out of a cave or a castle or a pit (in a game, that is) of some sort to fight me, id be STOKED.
