Critiques and comments welcome. I may tweak the lighting on the tower, because it seems to be off.

Wow, very beautiful piece. A bit more of a rim light would add to it. Also the perspective on her is a bit off, she is at level perspective to the viewer while the rest of the piece is at a worms view.

That's hauntingly beautiful. The sky, the colors are amazing. I especially like the dreamy atmosphere. There's poetry in your work, I love it.

the entire pic is cool, it is just that the girl does seem pasted in there. i think the lighting on her is off too.
is this from ref? cuz i know you have a tendancy to do spectecular shit without it

Thanks for the replies everyone! :) :)
sketch: I see the problem with the perspective on her. :) I sacrificed technicality in order to preserve the pose that I wanted. :(
I think something that would help would be if I drew either one of her other appendages, but in this perspective I couldn't get it to look right. Hahaah.
linK: I used a ref for the bricks. I couldn't get the aged watery rocks to look right. Other than that I painted everything freehand.
Thanks again everyone. :D

i'll play along with the others: the sky and water (and the sand ...) are just plain beauty. follow the sujestions and make posters out of this.

Wow! I love the lighting and atmosphere - the color choices you've made heighten the feeling of isolation and inner reflection that I felt when I saw your image.
Inspiring...

Nivbed I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE your stuff. I really do. All of your pieces have this realistic and true to life quality about them. How did you learn to achieve that? What techniques or things should I practice to get to that level? You rock! There is so much history and story that you have conveyed in this piece...I think that's my favorite part about it. "The lost watchtower"...Really really good man...wow.

You get.... FIVE stars. http://www.conceptart.org/forums/images/5stars.gif
Did you learn to make realistic skies and seas in school or by yourself?
