new born sun....tuff time for sunflowers

hey guys this wud b my 1rst entry in contest. i have this crude idea, criticsm is welcome.

a new sun is born, the old one remains. now v can see two suns making 2 clocks. humans have not much of an issue, but sunflowers face a tuff time deciding which one to look at. wud earth have a problem choosing which sun to revolve around.
this is my initial rough sketch just the color info, i think if i get sunset and rise at the same time wid blended tones, it will turn out nice...i wl put more sunflowers probably peirced ones.......comment plz

Hm, I like the ideaology behind it, it's unique. What do you mean by pierced flowers?
Right now I'm not too sure I can tell that the sunflower is faced with a confusing choice.

Your colors are a bit muddy. The lighting is different in each area of the piece, or maybe just not as apparent as some spots.

Maybe add some sharp details to some areas, specifically to things in the foreground.

thanx....for the suggestions...i think my concept of newborn sun which implies two suns at a time makes lighting the most difficult part. i m searching on that n makin it sharper with more shadows......more suggestions will b appreciated!!

Your idea is fantastic. You're struggling with making it look good, though. I'm afraid I can't help with digital painting, not having done it myself, but I wouldn't make the flowers cartoony. I was thinking that maybe a big field of sunflowers would be better, some turning one way, others the other, the ones in the middle dying? I was also thinking that the sunflowers on the side of the new sun should be bigger and stronger.

i messed up big time with the first concept....now i m leaving that and starting a new one. two soul mates a mad scientist and a funky witch are making a baby, well they invent a new way of making one. they are putting the final ingredient in the baby which is about to come out.
