This is my first post to this forum, I've done my best to familiarize myself with things before making it, but pardon me if I make any mistakes. I normally like to become more familiar with a forum before posting. I was referred here from the MegaTokyo artists forum area, which is one of the places where I've been fishing for manga/anime style artists who would be interested in an enthusiasts' project.

I am a writer and a programmer, and have been working on 3 different projects which I hope will be of good quality. They are all computer games and have need of artists to do the main art for them.

Let me put up 3 short summaries. If you're interested in these projects and in work that will have no monetary compensation (unless it turns out exceptionally and isn't released as just freeware well in which case then of course), if you're a manga/anime style artist looking to stretch your talents and be involved in an enthusiasts project -- because you like the sound of one of the games a lot and would love to do this sort of thing, email/pm me, show me some art samples, and we'll talk! :)

Short summaries follow...

First is a visual novel.

This major project has a ton of branches, in a dramatic development style but with dating sim elements as there are a number of endings wherein you can wind up with a number of different girls. It is not however, a hentai game. It's of the 'demon drama' theme where there's a lurking horror or three in the background that gradually comes out as you experience everyday life and lead a 'good' or 'evil' spiritual life. I'm trying for a real deep yet funny and touching game here. The protagonist is a young man, who works as an assistant at a shrine, trying to make something of his life.

2. Is a raising sim, along 'Princess Maker' lines, using an actual medieval calendar, and along realistic lines as I'm using the world of medieval Catholic spirituality with saints feast days and suchlike, but the saints appear like the 'gods' would in a typical Japanese story, and grant favors and whatnot depending on your girl's progress in various disciplines (housekeeping, public speaking, tailoring, cooking, charity, other virtues, etc. statistics). If you ever played 'Darklands' you have a clue as to some of what I'm doing too.

3. This is a smaller one. It's a 'maid sim', in that the setting is something like a cutout dollhouse with various rooms and a little animated figure of a maid, who is going to have to have a lot of cute chibi type animations of her various dutues. There'll be a 4 year period as you set her schedule for improving her skills.

There're multiple endings, but the real 'best' ending may be when the maid does her duties so well the 'master' of the house has a great ending too, and winds up turning down various proposals for brides and marrying the maid herself (yes she has a crush on him).

The third one I'll note will be mainly a lot of sprite drawings of maid mishaps and duties. The first will be mostly full screen pictures. Of the two I think the sprites easiest.

So if you like anime/manga themes, and have an artistic style I like (well show me and I'll tell you), maybe we can roll with this. Pick one you like. Or all.

All the games are 2D, not 3D so you don't have to worry about texturing and such. The resolution is 1024x768x32, and for the PC platform.

I am working on 3 projects btw, because that is my favored style of work, when one gets sticky I move on to the other, and then go back again, so I don't burn out. I have been working on each long enough without an artist to the point where I feel they're solidly established enough that it's time for the art. I enjoy my work, and like working with people who enjoy theirs. :)

We already have a good musician working with me on the first project. A real all round composer, singer, instrumentalist.

Gambatte artists, whatever you're doing! Happy New Year!
