ahoy there!
Still fresh and new here, I'd like to use this sketchbook to keep track of my progress.
Starting with some quick enviro thumbnails I did this morning, not much for the mo', just trying to get used at painting and setting up a routine to boost my dedication to my "art-ing".
See ya :donk:

Those are some interesting starts. Just enough gesture to know what's going on. It'd be cool to see them refined more if the whimsy strikes you :)

Love the toilet paper. The texture on the tiles is really neat. I third the interesting start statement.

So done some Hogarth hand studies, and I didn't enjoy it at all :P
His hands are way too complicated and detailed for the level I'm at actually.
Anyone can give advices on how I could get some simplified hands? I'd like to focus on the gestures and get a basic feel of it before getting into details.
thx

looks great dude. Are these done on a graphics tablet? Just bought a wacom myself and it will be the first time I've ever used a tablet. For drawing hands, check out Sarah Simblet's Anatomy or her Drawing book. I have both, and they have a wealth of drawing exercises to do there mate.

Woa-ho! nice start here, for sure!
I know you were playing with the proportions of that latest girl, but I don't think they are quite jiving yet.
Otherwise, hot shit! Five from me!

very beautiful style; i think the last portrait is really well executed
just one thing i noticed in your earlier sketches - sometimes it seems to me there is not enough light for the brightest spot of an image
i think it's good you 're diving into gestures but they are the easiest to get when you know what's going on beneath them if this makes sense :P
best of luck, keep posting plz

omg someone actually watch this thread!!
@pauscorpi: thx! and yeah I have massive problems with values/contrast, but I'm working on it! As for the gestures, well posemaniacs don't have ground planes on their models so it's kind of hard to figure it out. But I'll pay attention to that!
@Fumble: I'll do my best to keep this thing updated thanks!
@jagmed: Thanks a lot!
As always guys/gals feel free to crit or drop some advices!
thanks everyone :donk:
