Dear Amazing Illustrators :)
We're a London based indie game studio that focuses exclusively on the mobile games market. Despite being relatively new to game development (Feb 2009), we have nearly completed our first game, CopterKid, which is due to hit the Apple 'App Store' this month - http://www.copterkid.com - a simple pick-up-and-play game that is integrated with facebook and has global online leaderboards.
Through another business we operate, we have gained 7 years of game industry experience and have dealt with the largest game publishers and developers on a frequent basis.
For our next project, we are looking for an illustrator that excels in 'dark feel' designs and wants to take a hands-on role within the development of our next title. You should be willing to contribute your ideas and opinions to make the game the best possible. You must have passion!
This game will be a 'point and click' adventure/puzzle game for the iPhone/iPod Touch. Consequently, no animation will really be required. However, we will require a series of environments where on click, the player will be able to zoom into that particular area. Keep in mind, due to the small screen size of the iPhone, the level of detail will be restricted.
This is a very exciting and rewarding opportunity for an individual that wants to create a long-term relationship with us. If all goes well, after a few successful projects, the right individual may be offered an equity stake in future game titles.
Requirements:
5 high quality environments designed (more details after NDA is signed), either vector-based or produced at a very high resolution.
Entrepreneurial individual that is creative and can produce work from basic sketches and the documentation we will provide.
Good communication skills and able to meet mutually agreed milestones/deadlines
Takes pride in their work and would define themselves as a perfectionist
Payment:
This will be on a per environment basis
Contract will have to be signed
Payment either via Bank transfer or Paypal
How to apply:
Please send an email to rishi [@] fiplab [dot] com the subject should be "Illustrator Opportunity at FIPLAB"
If you are unsure whether your style is suitable for this role, please PM me with a link to your work, and we'll let you know if it's worth applying :)
Your email should include:
A brief introduction and explanation of why you are interested in this role and how you feel you can make a unique contribution.
Link to your portfolio or best work attached in a zip file for review.
