Today's topic is: Vehicle: Crate halling truck(chickens, vegetables, etc..)

This could be done in a past sense... or a futuristic sense... anything.

I'm about 80% done with mine. Drawing is done, perspective fixup in photoshop done, and midway through coloring. Interesting thing I've found for coloring. Gauche paint on about 6% opacity has a really nice effect for painting cars. It doesn't cover up your linework and it looks smooth.

a futuristic van/truck, when industry takes over the world....all the pollution. time take to do the full thing, around 1 hour and a bit...lol
did two versions, a basic which you can see here (http://www.faded-reality.net/pictures/truck.jpg)
and then the finished one here...i didnt spend much time on the background because it was the truck we just wanted...maybe someday I'll do the background to it.

Hello, I'm new here, and I did a sketch, though it doesn't seem to compare at all to the work produced here.

rift, like yours a lot. It reminded me of a pic I did a while back for some reason: (this isn't mine for today, I'm just sharin'!)

brawstake, like the illustration. really good, but man, poor, poor wabbit!

Like everyone else's today as well. Good mix of stuff.

hm... does anyone else find that the colors look different when they're on the internet, not in Photoshop?

Guidance: If you could change ONE thing about this drawing...?

Interesting topic... So far my fav is Oregano. Very slick. Azmeos is fun to look at. Brawstake's bunny is hilarious.

[EDIT] darn... realized I forgot windows. Oh well.

Trying to get better/faster in cg painting...seems like my drawings are all lacking something important though. C/C welcome!

Wed- hear ya on the cars, in some places it would just be faster to walk. Nice old-fashioned truck btw, I like your brush strokes and the logo on the door (and the "yr ass here" :D)

oppolus- I like what both versions, but I think maybe you should put the lensflare on the smoke stack nearest to us in the second one. It's kind of pulling that far smoke stack "towards us"...sorry if that didn't make any sense, need sleep..

Wed2- lol!

otbot- great textures anyway, love the effect of sunrise

caprice- welcome to the dsg! quite nice anyway, keep on posting!

raum- cool, kinda like those load-bearing helicopters. The cargo will cushion the craft on impact as well ;D

rift- haha, where is that chicken going with that produce I wonder..

brawkstake- groovy sketch there, wish I was as adept with pencil. :)

oregano- lol! thanks for sharin :D

sparky | emily- nice lighting! As for the colors problem, I'm betting that your photoshop color settings are set wrong. On PS7 it's under edit>>color settings, and in the [Settings:] option, set to "Color Management Off". Hope that helps!

azmeos- I wonder what kind of stuff that thing is hauling o_o

lyliani- cute, nice textures and shapes. I think maybe some ground shadows under the objects would help, since it looks kind of pasted on without it. (unless you are going for that look)

threeleggedchicken- "The owner of this file has exceeded their daily usage limit." :(

railboy- really digging the textures on the side of the truck, neat. If I changed one thing, I would make metal harder around the edges, ie around the door and such. It feels a little too soft for metal, esp considering how hard the edges of the wood are.

And before I forget...
HAPPY NEW YEARS!!!

With the help of a reference pic. When I read this topic I thought of an old National geographic pic of a truck with more than 100 wheels in australia. The road trains...

I wasn't going to post this... I showed it to someone at my house though and they said it was ok so here it is. The WPE is probably beter then the finished product. I would encourage more people to use Open Canvas for the DSG, I think it is useful to see how other people work.

it's not a truck, but it carries small farm animals. Each section is a glass like, conditioned container. Made to get your animals from point A to point B in a lickity split! ;)
