Wowww! Very nice dude!
I loved the colors an the texture!
My only point is to put a littlle bit of light on that fire ball, the rest is perfect.
Cheers!!

Isn't that just typical of the wizard....Send the barbarian to the front lines and summon fireballs from a safe distance...

Hehe really nice work.

The anatomy and image overall is very solid, the only feel that bugs me (and only abit) is the warm background and warm foreground colours.

I think (IMHO) that if the background was abit cooler in tone, the barbarian and his enemys would stand out more and more depth would be created.

I really like this--BUT, I agree with what's been said. . .it could be a stronger piece if the fire ball trail was mabe gradually muted -also I think arched- and more color differeance from back ground to foregraound--background cooler darker perhaps--Looks good though. Did the writer/publisher specify what color type they're going to use--I know somtimes font color and title size/placement can affect the cover art-sometimes publishers make odd requests.

I feel strange about fireball in the middle of picture,I thinks it's color is too bright.

My guess is it would be more powerful if the fireball seemed to come towards us, not going sideways as it is now.

It should give more light as well, being as close to the ground as it is, and therefore the warriors (and maybe even the front of the monsters) should have nice fiery highlights.

I think the barbarians look like prettyboy postermodels, with no intent other than to look good in the photoshoot (like 300), which to me is silly, and the pure opposite of a barbarian! They tell me nothing of destructiveness, power or fighting spirit.

I belive that, before you render the next image out fully, which I think youŽve done a good job with, and which I would imagine takes a considerable amount of time, you think more about what the message really is. I think you need to focus more on the essence of the poses, which by the way are very static, and appearances rather than displaying anatomy, materials and highlights.

Watch out for tangents. They confuse the depth. Ghoul claws against other ghoul deltiod, right barbarian hand against ghoul claws, left barbarian belt against left ghoul forehead etc.

Furthermore I think that the ghouls look very weak, and would hardly pose any threat against the barbarians, which decreases the drama of the picture. A hero is defined by the villains (generally).

Now, what would a mean killing machine, chaotic destructive barbarian (for that is what they are, is it not?) really look like? Surely thereŽd be fat and flab, imperfections and signs of countless battles?

And they should also have nipples....

I like it all alot except for the fireball in the sky which looks too heavily rendered and draws my attention away from the characters far too much
