Hello. Signed up to play.
Here's my initial sketch. Agent [name to be determined later] is one of many sanctioned by the government to track and dispose parasitical beings that were accidentally released from top secret labs. These parasites must be stopped since their hosts never survive infection and to cover up the government's secret experiments and mishandling of the accident. The beings can only be effectively eliminated at the point where they are the weakest - when they emerge and shed their hosts bodies and still maintain their soft skin, easily penetrable by a toxin laced bullet.

This rings bells with me Koji Bryant. I had a sort of Herod idea knocking around in the back of my head, but updating it like this, in something that makes me think of Resident Evil, shoulld be much more iinteresting.
Go for it. I look forward to seeing how you handle the 'shedding skin' bit - yuk.

Thank you for your comment Nickillus. Hope you'll do well with your concept!
Here's my second update. Still thinking about the look of the parasite newborns. Considering soft and hardened forms. The newborns are vulnerable when exiting their hosts but what would they look like when their skin hardens and they transform into something stronger and sinister looking.

It's lookin really nice, the parasite idea is really cool lots of gory n slimy potential
From the sketches I could imagine harden leather or crab shell maybe plated.
I'm doin a government bio weapon type thing in a lab setting.

I like the small sketchs. They have a lot of movement.
Now I am curious how you bring them all into a nice composition.

Thank you for the comments: Carl Lesser, hala, Art4All, Vaejoun.
Here's the next round of studies. Leaning towards a wrinkly skin for the newborn. Still not definite how I'll do the mature version (my final image will likely include both newborn and hard/beast versions that will act as guards or hive defenders).
Started thinking more about the look of government agents too.
