Ello all

I applied for the IGAD2009 course (Internation Game Art and Design), wich is basicly an university level art education and I got accepted!!! woot!! :needle:
What the reviewing guy basicly said was that I had to work hard on drawing in perspective, and best to buy a book.
Im having trouble drawing stuff in proportion, and he said it would help.
So, anyone know any good perspective books?

Wat im looking for is a modern book (I like Loomis for example, but mehh...) that elaborates on perspective and how to apply them. I know the basics, so no ABC's please ;).

Thanks a bunch in advance!

I like Scott's stuff. Dvd format, not books though.

I like Creative Layout: Perspective for Artists. I don't remember it being this expensive when I bought it like two or three years ago, but I think it really helps one understand various aspects of perspective. It even goes into other aspects like sequential storytelling and stuff like that.

Or if you want to go a little cheaper you can try "How to Draw the Marvel Way" which has a small section within the book about perspective:

But for the whole nine yards, I'd recommend the first one I told you about.

I really liked "Perspective made easy". Old school, cheap, portable, and to-the-point, this book helped me a lot in understanding how perspective work instead of just learning the grids.

Quoted for truth, it's in my desk drawer at this moment. I like that's it's not just listing rules but gives many different perspectives (what a pun) to make sure that the knowledge is understood and absorbed.

There's also atmospheric perspective, hard and soft stuff.
