I know there are a lot of posts about NASAD, but I couldn't find one that answered my specific question:

If I obtain my BFA from a school that is not NASAD accredited, only regionally accredited, will it prevent me from pursuing higher education in another area of the country?

For example, if I get a BFA from SCAD, will I have problems if I want to pursue a MFA at a school in the northeast?

Yes, you will be damned for all eternity not going to a NASAD approved school.

Just kidding....

Although I am not sure, I would bet that as long as SCAD was regionally accredited, which it is, you will be fine. Just call up a few grad schools to confirm this.

SCAD's accreditation is absolutely fine! It's accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges, the accreditation that Duke University has.
And no one ever worries about Duke's accreditation.
