This looks promising...hopefully it will be better than Armaggedon and the like. Looks much better...(seeing as how this could actually happen...and likely will, though probably not in our lifetimes.)

Where are Bruce Willis and Ben Affleck when you need them?

How can they make a movie called "The Day After Tomorrow"? How do they know whats going to happen the day after tomorrow if they aren't there yet? Hmmm? Unless that car from Back from the Future is on there, I don't see how.

Anyway, at first i thought the movie was about Noah's Ark and i was like, oh shit, this is gonna be stupid.

personally i think it might be the worst movie ever made. i hate everything those people put out.

OMG AWESOME GRAPHIC AND OWOWOWOWO, 10 minutes later the world is covered in snow and there will be no more awesome graphics and you watch a bunch of people walk around looking for other people.

rad.

i was under the impression that films were made up of more than just cool looking computer generated graphics. eh...maybe i'm wrong. it worked great for the second two matrix movies. although i do have to agree that this movie could very likely be a huge disappointment. i'm not a fan of the studio producing it...and subject matter rarely makes up for good storytelling. but all the same...the trailer gets me excited for this one.

they'll probably get money out of me but not at the theater. i'll just rent the dvd. So that would be, oh, August? That gives me enough time to find out if its good enough to even rent. but i will see it if any of my freinds buy the dvd.

In that last scene with NYC covered in snow. It wouldn't ruin NYC! It would save it! Think about it! They dig a tunnel to the entrance of the building. You ride the elevator up, VOOP! Hop out! DING! And skii down. NYC would be the best snowpark in the country. You can skii to work, or build you own personal tunnels to work! Or the whole city of NYC have a snowball fight. That would be so awsome.

AnarchyAo2, i don't think you understand, a 12inchs of a snow would kill the world.

it always seems like a movie like this, (or a comic) comes out right when i'm working on something too similar to it. i think the entertainment industry is highjacking ideas from my brain...or more likely, i just don't have very original ideas. course my idea deals with what happens a thousand years later...but, damn....

Davi, no one said the whole world was covered in snow.

Hey Clock,

I can't tell you how many times a screenplay gets put in front of me and 2 months later I see 5 movies that look the same. I don't know why this happens. Frankly I never ask.

Peace
Dan

Dan- yeah man...people talk. i guess that's why if you want to be successful, you can't rely on subject matter. You have to do it better than the other four studios doing the same thing. that's also why i'm a little hesitant to share my ideas with people (that sounds really pretentious...assuming that my stories are worth producing), but i'd just hate to work on something for a few years just to have it ripped off and bastardized.

i know it's jst coincidence, but i'll sketch a character and 6 months later see a character in a comic that looks so similar its unbelievable...or i'll start writing a screenplay and two years later see a movie thats too similar. maybe i just need to push myself towards more forward thinking originality.

Actually Clocktower, it means that you should get your ideas out faster than the other guys.

And the CG looks too fake actually. Its good, but kinda....not. And the movie will probably suck because most (post-) apocalyptic movies do.

good point dfacto...unfortunately, trying to self-publish a comic book or write a decent screenplay with any amount of quality, much less...speed, is nigh impossible while working, going to college, and taking care of my 18 month-old baby. but...still i try...and will continue to do so...and will continue to be discouraged when i see something similar being produced. but that's the bitch, and the exciting thing, about art right? there are always hundreds of other artists out there churning out great (and not great) ideas all the time. hopefully in the next decade i'll have refined my skills to a level that is worthy of mass appeal...and i'll produce something before someone beats me to it...that's the plan anyway. cheers all.

Then....uhh...I don't get the sarcasm to be honest.
