I have been working on this one for awhile, if it had been a commission I think he would have asked for his money back by now. As it stands I need to do a little more sanding and then its time to paint. This sculpt is based on artwoirk by an awesome illustrator named Guy Francis you can check out the original artwork here (http://kactiguy.blogspot.com/2006/05/illustration-friday-under-sea.html). Very impressive!
I believe you get the original concept right on.
Lovely smooth surfaces and very precise mechanical parts.

Any hints to a beginner concerning how to reach that standard of precission on mechanical parts? (except for patience ;-)
