Hello CA!
This is my sketchbook. (Don't worry, I'll post more later)
I am currently 17. I would love to become a videogame artist one day.
I hope to learn a lot here! :D
Thanks for any comments.
Much love,
Nathan Watts

Keep studying anatomy- to really draw from your head you have to understand it. I like the pen work in the skull drawing. Just try to draw something from your head everyday and something from observation also! :)

Hi Nathan!
You are 17? Nice!
If you keep drawing, you will be a videogame artist for sure =)
I want to give you a major advice, which helped me a lot:
Use simple shapes as construction for your drawing!
You will see, it makes everything much easier, especially judging, whether your silhouette is going to look great or whether your perspective is correct.
I hope you don't mind that I drew over your pencilsketch :yayca:
My drawing is supposed to show you how such an construction could look like. Don't try to be too stiff when drawing the shapes, they dont need to be 100% accurate.

honestly I think you should keep your studies and leave the sith lord image to be finished in 2 weeks or so (I promise you that in 2 weeks if you practice everyday you can finish it easily, and probably you'll not even want to finish it cause you'll want to try drawing something harder)
you should keep doing uncolored pictures for a while, then start training colors with simple objects like an apple (everybody paint apples lol)
hope to see this thread with 5 stars one day
good luck ^u^v

It's great to see that you're already thinking about warm vs cool light in your color (looking at sith forearm), but fackuck is right, for practice in drawing form it's hard to beat simple grayscale. Keep rockin.

Keep up the anatomy studies, they look good so far! Have you tried the website pose maniacs? their great for thirty second studies. I love your robot guy :)
One crit I do have for you is that the sith lord definitely has anatomy issues, most noticeably in the collarbone and neck area.
