Hello, i'm new here, & i'm kinda confused about where to post artworks here.

There is the Art Registry forum, the Finally Finished (which i now know that i shouldn't try to post there anymore until i have improved better :D), the Sketchbook forum, & the Critique forum.

My question is, if i post an artwork in the Art Registry or the Critique forum, am i still allowed to post the artwork again in my Sketchbook thread? Because, i really want all my artworks to be in 1 thread so that every thing is grouped together, & i'm asking because i don't want to burden CA's database by double-uploading the same artworks. And if it's not allowed to double-upload artworks, i really don't mind if the admins delete my Anarchy Generation thread in the Critique forum, as long as i get to keep my Sketchbook thread :).

Also, what is the Art Registry forum for? Do i need to register every single artworks of mine there by uploading it there (which will be a double-upload again if i upload it to my Sketchbook thread too), or by uploading it to my Sketchbook thread is already good enough??

I tried to search for some answers in the Support forum, but because my internet connection is too slow, i couldn't really find all answers. That's why i decided to post a new thread for my question. If i make a mistake, please do forgive me as i'm still learning :). Give me a chance to know & learn more, & i'll be more than happy to be able to contribute better to CA, someday :).

Thank u for every one & the admins that will help clarify my understanding. And if the admins find it necessary to delete any of my threads because of my double-upload, be my guest, but please let me keep my Sketchbook thread :).

Hi!

Welcome to the forum. In most sections you will find a post near the top that starts with the word "sticky" and describes the rules and uses of that section.

There is a detailed explanation of The Artist Registry section (Want Others To Easily Find Your Body of Works? Create Your Portfolio Thread Here.) in the first post inside that section: Registry Forum FAQ (http://conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=145485) I think it is a place to post your art and gain some degree of protection from other people using your work without permission. You don't have to use the thread. it's sort of a nice free perk if you want it.

I think the sketchbook section is where you can start a thread and update it when ever you like. You can add sketches, finished works or whatever else you want to add and discuss them with other forum visitors. You will see a sticky post near the top of that section with the Rules for Sketchbooks (http://conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=38582)

In the critique section, we generally start a thread with one piece of artwork (sometimes more), and ask for constructive feedback. Often we post updated versions of the same piece of artwork later in the thread to show progress.

Regarding posts, it's better not to post more than one copy of the same thread.

hope that helps.

Ok, thanks very much :). I finally get some answers :).
