PS CS2 - after zooming shortcuts don´t work

Hi.

Sometimes it occurs that the shortcuts don´t work after zooming. I then have to zoom out or in and then it works again. Shortcuts for zooming still work but the others don´t work (tools, brush size...)

What might be the reason for it?

that may be because you went to another program or something similar and the program-frame isn't properly selected?
it is not a keyboard problem if you still can zoom, so it must be a photoshop one; perhaps the speed isn't set correctly? or the ram..anyways just take a look at this: http://agnidevi.deviantart.com/art/Photoshop-Optimization-Tips-81070799 (click the download on the left)

if it won't help you with the problem, then i don't know what
but in any case, it will make photoshop run faster and personalizes the way you use free space
