I would understand you won't care about this, but I have to ask if there is any possibility to add a JID (Jabber ID) field in the Member Profile :P

i don't really see the purpose... probably because i haven't used it... it's basicly an msn/aim/icq client, correct..?

i dont think its a multi-protocol client (like Trillian (http://www.ceruleanstudios.com)) rather its like ICQ (a client that runs one protocol, in this case, the Jabber protocol).
i dont know a of a single person who uses it though. the only reason to add it would be if lots of people used it. i dont think thats the case (i could be wrong)

Jabber is an Open Instant Messaging Protocol, which is not owned by any company and cannot become closed in a way that competing protocols such as Aim, Icq or Msn. There are many (interconnected) servers which have "transports" in order to communicate with other IM protocols such as Icq, Msn, Aim, Yahoo, and Irc soon.

Regarding "the only reason to add it", it's obvious that Jabber has not as many users as MSN, but there's a big community, growing each day.. I'm sure that in an early future you'll hear something of it.
(It would be nice to have some statistics of users :P)

i think i'll stay away from it... if people are into chat progs like that i'm sure they already have a favorite they will want to stick to.
