Academy of Art University vs Kansas City Art Institute

I am 17 and was currently accepted by both AAU and KCAI. Can anybody out there tell me which school is better( Animation BFA) more up to date in software apps., teachers that are dedicated etc.?

I unfortunately know nothing about KCAI. I am a BFA Illustration student at AAU. I am only in my second semester so take my advice for what it is worth. Illustration and Animation start out taking many of the same classes and I have to say my experience at AAU has been awesome with the exception on one teacher. All of our equipment was cutting edge in my computer classes I have had so far. Since you are an Animation major you will be one of the few PC based programs at AAU. I know when I was in the animation lab they had brand new Dell systems that had just been installed that semester. I can't tell you the spec on the systems, because I cant remember if they were quad core or 8 core systems. But before attending AAU I worked in the computer field and I can say the systems were well powered for the jobs they were expected to perform.

The other reason I can say I like AAU is the fact it is in San Francisco. If you are looking for a wonderful city to expand your horizons I can't think of a better place.
