I joined Concept Art in 2003 just to lurk. Boy have things changed around here. Anyway, I think it's more than past due time for me to jump into the game. Yep, this is a first time post from a first time poster.

This is my latest finished work. It's... different than many of the pieces, being both cartoony and predominantly line art. Without further ado I give you:

"Amalgamonsters" by Unkiedev, 11 X 15, pen ink and digital.

It's a piece I'm entering in a gallery show here in Baltimore put together by many local artists, including Muttonhead (http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=159020) and several other Conceptart.org-ers.

Hope you fellows like it, and feel free to let me have it on the critiques.

My eyes get lost with this. Of course it was probably intended, but if you created a few focal points by saturating them more it could benefit the piece.

Good idea, and you're right. I was trying new things with color, and trying to give the piece a consistency. Guess I gave it too much consistency. I'll push the colors in the Alien and Gladiator.

Thanks for the feedback.

You know I'm a fan. Especially because it has a crab claw..... aaaand a gun-nipples.

There is an explination, but I don't know that you are going to like it:

This is a concept piece for a game I'm working on where Monsters are assembled from OTHER monsters to fight titanic battles throughout space and time. These monsters have been assembled from A Bigfoot, a Martian, a Roman Centurion and parts of the Red Angel of Death, a.k.a the Red Reaper.

This battle takes place on a caffein molecule in a cup of coffee. I want the next battle to take place inside Zeus's skull.

Love the style! I'm fine with the visual caos, but i also agree there should be a focal point somewhere to guide the viewers eye. Can't wait to see the next battle! :D
