heeyy!

okay. well i'm very interested in going to OTIS here in l.a or going to NY and studying there but my problem is that i don't know what i really want to do.
i want to design shirts and go into that wholee awsome business of theirs.
buut! i also want a main job of journalism. reviewing art interviewing artists and all that good stuff in an art magazine.
HONESTLY, i don't know. im really open-minded about stuff

im just wondering if anyone can help me in anyway!
i just need advice in general.

oh and if anyone knows any internships i can probably go for that would be great to know as well.
im not a professional at anything but im very very commited. and i really just want to get to know a little bit more about the whole art business stuff.
im just in it for the education.

Whoa whoa whoa... conflicting messages here.

I hear about your commitment level and yet I also see that you want to:

1) design t-shirts.
2) go into journalism.
3) and yet you still want an internship.

Simply put, you have to choose SOMETHING to put your energies toward. All of these choices don't exactly wrap around each other that snugly. I guess you could do a indy musical fanzine and do the art for it as well as write the articles for it, but that's a pretty heavy duty commitment to die into being a publisher and all.

I'll ask. What's your passion? Choose one (not all of them or any other additional side bars) and pursue it wholeheartedly. Become an authority and the very best at one thing and then pursue your other hobbies. Make a career out of one and enjoy the others for personal development.

But choosing one is the first step. You have a better view into your soul than any of us here.
