Hello dudes! A total noob here, seeking ya advice!

Yo guys!

Just started my posting, after much influence from Shawn (He's awsome!!!).

Hmmm.. I'm quite the novice, and would like to seek tips and tricks to improve my drawings/ illustrations.

(I'm a sucker at painting and shading.. Can ya guys post any links or tutorials to point me in the right direction? Thanks! :D )

The 2 pics I posted below are done on request for my 2 friends.. Heh..
Can anyone teach me how to colour/ shade them to achieve the best effect?

And er... I would like some pointers on my doodling skills.. Many thanks!!!!! :)

Ok, I linked the pictures again to my site on geocities.

I tried with my sis's PC, and she can see the pics..

Hmmmm.. I found out that by right- clicking on the image and selecting "Show Picture", it will display the pics.

Ok, I'm giving up on Geocities... I think I'll find another host...

Guys, I've been browsing the thread and woah! Am i blown away by the pics!
But I also noticed something.. A lot of the drawings posted are blue in colour (blue pencils).

I've always used mechanical pencils to draw.. May I know what kinda of medium should i use?
And what is that blue pencil?
its functions?

They all look pretty good, but I don't believe that I much like the Anime style. Also, not all women have the largest breasts you can think of.
Most people use blue pencil to get the original sketch out, and usually people who use the blue pencil plan on taking a normal pencil or pen and outlining it to color later.
