OK so I have been annoyed by the cables on my 21UX for some time, because a: they are not quite long enough (computer at one side of desk, monitor at the other on an arm with a large range of motion) and b: the cable tree kind of annoys me, I would almost like it better if the cables all came from the monitor separate, I could bunch them that way, and as a group also the cables don't fit into the cable management tracks on the arm that would help hide the cords.
Does anyone have any recommendations for fixing this? The main thing that is too short is the DVI-I cable, but it seems Wacom cheeped out a bit by only having a single link cable instead of a dual (dual link can support twice the resolution and longer lengths) I had gotten an adapter so I can add another dvi cable as an extension, but I got 'dead pixels' on the display and other noise, so there is signal drop off. Has anyone opened the display up and looked at the cable harness inside? If it were standard connectors I would be in business, but I doubt it.
Sorry for the long post, just really don't know what to do, I could move my computer, but it is a monster, and with summer almost here, I want it as far away from my feet as possible, cause it produces heat, I could move the monitor, but it is in the most ergonomic position as possible for me.
