Well, this is my best face ever so far, I've done more on it than this, but not enough to warrant an upload. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

the lips seem too blurry and you might want to make the hair just a tad bit closer to the bridge of the nose..the way it is now it looks like there should be just a wee bit of the eye showing..other than that it looks really clean and good! post the update!

Well, here's an update on the face, and I have started work on the body, but nothing worth showing.

Uhm... I rubbed it out because I saw myself in the mirror and noticed my ears didn't stick out that far... It will be redrawn, and hopefully look even better... Sorry, haha.

This is good work! I remember the day I did my "best face ever" too!! Good times.
Consider increasing the variety of value, darken the dark places and get in some more midtones, then take care of the highlights.

Very nice!
The area where the hair parts seems a little too deep, and the enck a bit too thin (if I am infact right in assuming the two lines are neck outlines).
Excellent, soft and clean line work!

I think the shading is to sutle. It need more constrast in my opinion.

i also think what AnarchyAo2 says. MOre contrast with the shadows. I think your image despite it's "subtleness", it's use of soft lines has lots of perspective and depth, but maybe this can be worked better with stronger shadows. Why dont you check out fredflickstone's (Ron Lemen's) Figure and Head drawing tutorials in the tutorials forum? Click here: http://www.conceptart.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=42
Hope those can help you out, cause they are very useful and informative.

The image is coming along nicely and you are capturing a real essence to the person. You need to increase the darkness of the shadow areas as most people have mentioned. Also think about the persons right eye, at the moment it isn't there and becomes obvious you are trying to avoid it. Normally doing 2 eyes close to being the same is quite difficult but you have the hair in the way which will help out.

Hey, thanks for all the replies.
Hmn, she's meant to be in open sunlight, so i dont think there'd be much contrast.
Yeah, I'm avoiding the other eye, I might draw the bottom of it sticking out a bit.
Sorry I took so long to reply, I've been in Scotland for the last week.
