This last one is quite a fun style for you - looks like you've found/made some beautiful brushes. I find that the bright yellow on the right side steals a bit of attention, though the contrast and silhouette of the chracter keeps the focus. Her upper arm is a tad long?

The works at the top of the page are especially nice as well using that negative space...attractive style for me

I think that too! at first i want to the fucos on the dress. but the pretty lady allways take our attention. so..i think if want to got a nice work must be pay more patience. and the upper arm is long, i pick some time to fix it, thank jakers.

I think the perspective is a bit off in #30. The horizon differs for each of the elements in the picture.
http://i862.photobucket.com/albums/ab188/Saarathing/rpo5iirz.jpg?t=1290347567

But overall, I think your paintings are very... relaxed. The colors, the brushwork, the overall feel. They're really pleasant to look at ;).

thanks very much ! ,louise but i think the objects are different angle in this scene,,, so the horizon will disappear forward different...

I agree that the horizon changes for an object if it's angle changes vertically (for example, when it's on a slope. The horizon for the slope is different than the ''horizon of the viewer''), but I'm under the impression that the vanishing points are all on the one and the same horizon line if there are no ''strange'' vertical angles, like the slope from the previous example. If objects' angles differ horizontally (like on a curved street), then their vanishing points do move but they will all stay on the same horizon line. This sounds like a load of gibberish but I hope that makes sense. But of course correct me if I'm wrong, I'm just a newbie myself. If I really am wrong, then okay, my bad (not like I'm in the position to crit people anyway, haha).

this is very hard issue,,,,when i draw it i didnot think about this question at all... just make does not look strange ,,, but i am confuse now...need find out

Hehe yeah, same here. I better go find my perspective book right now ;). Anyways, really nice sketches in your latest posts.

Samantha
November 23rd, 2010, 07:32 AM
hi! louise ,,, i think here is the question. no matter what kind of angle and size , just a normal regular box,in the same scene,,, the horizon will be on the same line... like the pic
