Hello, my name's John, I'm fifteen-years-old and live in Sweden. I've been lurking around on CA for a long time, never posted before, though. Been drawing since I was a kid, but just now started getting serious about it. I want to improve, even though school and everyday life takes up a lot of my time, I'll try to update frequently. I'll mostly use traditional tools, atleast for now.

I'm not that good, and I haven't got a scanner at the moment, but hopefully people will check out my sketchbook in a few months and say "DAYUMN THIS KID HAS REALLY IMPROVED".. Or something like that.

Tell me what I do correct, what I suck at and what I should improve,
etc.

A few graphite drawings to start this sketchbook. I'm aware of the perspective being skewed on the orb-glass-pear-thingy.

Some old ink-doodles. I'll do some watercolours later today.

Maybe I should've posted all of these in the first post? Well, please tell me if I'm doing something stupid and I'll fix it.
Two old (and terrible) watercolor-quickies and one graphite doodle.. These three pictures are taken with the camera of a cellphone, thats why they look like crap.

Some hands. I don't know what's up with the last one, I guess I got bored and didn't pay attention.

You ought to get your hands on a good digital camera. Been there and at fifteen you aren't doin' bad at all. Just don't stop for any freakin' reason.

I just stole my mothers digital camera, which is pretty good. Now I just need to figure out how to use it properly.. I'll take a shower and then try to do some watercolours.

Since my parents stole the camera, I can't post any watercolours today. Downloaded GIMP instead and doodled for a couple of minutes, and I quite like it. The program, I mean, not the picture. Any tips? This is my first try using digital media, be gentle. :>

I've decided that I'll post everything I do here, even the stuff that's terrible.

Some old doodles that I did while on the train.

Thought I'd try out some 30 second posemaniacs, it was harder than I expected. I'll try to do about 50-100 a day from now on.

Finished, atleast for now. Off to bed, tomorrow I'll try to draw something that doesn't look like utter tripe.

Watercolours. A Lion in a church.

Just a quick drawing of Joakim Thåström, from Peace, Love & Pitbulls, to get started. GIMP, ~20 min.

I'm not so great with watercolor either, but when you master it, it's a nice medium to use- quick to do and fast drying.

Keep up teh work on the human figure you have going, particularly proportions. Your faces are getting better, just keep looking at reference images occasionally to pick up new ideas
