I am trying to draw a techno-robot fly full flight,.. and ther's one thing i just can't get right ,.. moution of the wings,.. so what is the best way to draw an illusion of motion,.. ,.. blur ??,.. or just use smudge stick.. ??
sugestions plizz,..

how do you like my newest doodle,.. i am playing around with my new wacom and it is fun,.. (c: well and i've kinda reached a dead end,.. when i tryed to colorize it,.. what is the best way to colorize a black and white picture,..
where can i finde a good tutorial ,.. ??

Wow that last 3D piece is awesome! I am loving the texture of that guys skin... just be careful to not make him too stiff, add more gesture in his overall pose to make the dynamic of it more intense. I really like it though, keep it up!

The mechanical stuff is awesome, and it looks like you have a good sense of basic anatomy, but devoting some time to detailed studies (of heads and hands, especially) will help your characters come to life. Also spend time looking at the gesture of a pose and the way natural forms flow into each other.
As far as making the fly's wings look like they're in motion, blur the edges of the wing more and more as it gets farther from the fly's back. The tip of its wings are moving faster than the base, so they will be more blurred. To get a better sense of motion blur, try pausing an action scene in a movie.
